Note to self

Long, long ago, in my not nearly misspent enough youth, I spent some time on the tropical paradise of Okinawa (for those of you who haven't been there, tropical is a minor and paradise a major exaggeration), where I was taught the life lesson "Do not try and match sake drinking skills with the old karate masters - because they will think it is funny and you will not."

To which I now add the addendum "Do not try and match tequila drinking skills with Texas attorneys - because they will think it is funny and in the morning, you will not." I think I am at stage 3 of tequila, past funny but not quite to invisible or bulletproof. *sigh* In my defense, it's been a long month.

Sleep now, deposition training later. Gatorade and aspirin before sleep. Hopefully this will help.

And on the bright side, it was really good tequila.

Glad to see you're being social, even if it is with other lawyers. :-)

I always thought you were bulletproof...oh well.

I am bulletproof. For that matter, I do a pretty good invisible, too. It just usually has nothing to do with tequila!

Hey - there were actresses too! *grin* Part of the depo training is that they've go professional actors and actresses from the area playing the parts of our witnesses. For their great help, they get paid, plus they come out to the after classes dinners. Must say, if nothing else, the firm does feed us well. And springs for the good liquor, too!
